"Lovely spot for lunch with a delicious food! We had 2 coffees, a citrus juice, corn fritter, and nasi goreng breakfast for 2 people. The sun was lovely today so we seated at the outdoor table with the umbrella. Food was quick and tasty and very lovely staff!"

The food is absolutely sensational — always fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavour. The customer service is just as impressive: the team are always so lovely, attentive, and smiling, which really makes you feel welcome every time. Service is quick, the atmosphere is relaxed, and the venue itself is gorgeous — a charming old church that adds such a special touch to the whole experience. Thank God this place exists right around the corner — it’s quickly become my go-to spot in Montrose!"

Smooth, buttery, and suspiciously good at solving all of life’s minor problems. My friends went all out too. So ridiculously good, I briefly considered hiding one in my bag for later… but who am I kidding, I ate it immediately. The vibe is warm and welcoming, with both indoor and outdoor seating that makes it perfect for a long catch-up with friends or a solo coffee mission. The whole place has that effortless charm that makes you feel like you’ve stumbled upon a local secret, even though everyone who visits Hobart should really know about it. By the end of the meal, I was full, happy, and slightly obsessed with everything on the menu. Saint Hugo’s isn’t just breakfast or brunch — it’s a full-on experience, a celebration of perfectly cooked eggs, muffins that might be magical, and friends who judge you kindly when you steal half their plate. Verdict: Saint Hugo’s Café = heavenly food, cozy vibes, and an instant craving for a return visit. "Wow! A hidden gem! My son has been here before and glad he took me here too. I cant remember the name of my brunch but it was very very tasty and my son had Eggs Benny which he said was delicious. Thankyou to Kirra, very friendly, happy and efficient. Makes a pretty good, just sweet enough, Vanilla milkshake too. Thankyou to the cook as well!"

"It’s is a good café worth visiting. I tried the coffee and French toast – the toast was crunchy yet buttery, with fruity toppings and just the right sweetness. The fairy floss on top added a nice touch. Staff were friendly and the atmosphere was pleasant, with outdoor seating available and pet-friendly options. They also have vegetarian and gluten-free choices plus daily specials. Not the very best in Hobart, but definitely a solid option if you’re nearby and looking for a relaxed spot for breakfast or brunch."

"This was my first visit to Saint Hugo's, and I was very impressed. The staff were very friendly and I love that they come up to the table and take your order. They also checked back in for how our meals were and if we needed any more drinks, etc. The food was divine. I had the Karaage chicken and fries, and I was very happy. Someone who was dining with me had the French toast, and I had food envy. I will certainly be visiting again."
